REVIEWS (CHILDREN)

My favourite part of your amazing book was when Bo got stuck in the cobweb, but his friends went out without him. I like this part because it leaves it to your imagination. Altogether it was a great book with astonishing illustrations.  It was a gripping story and a great read. I can't wait until the second book.    Sophie Yr 6

I really enjoyed your story. I think that all the characters developed a lot. I liked the theme of taxidermy because it's very unusual. My favourite characters were Pip and Tuff because they were a comic duo and made the atmosphere of the story happy, lively and fun. It's for all ages and a reasonably sized book. I also think the layout was almost immaculate; there were some amazing ideas.  Vandana Yr 6

I loved "Ray n Bo". Ray is really funny and is an amazing character in the book.  Bo is so brave and inspiring. He has gone from "Zero to Hero" and helped all his friends.  Bo taught me that I can be anything / anyone I want to be.          Will. Yr. 6

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to my friends.  I liked how every part of the story was unexpected.  Also, I liked the fact that all the good characters are animals and that their names were imaginative.  This is one of the few books I have NOTHNG bad to say about !! (I love it!!!) Rebecca W. Yr 6

I liked this book because Bo was scared and helpless, but then faced his fears. He did not follow Maximilian, he followed his senses, there is a good moral to the story.  I enjoyed looking at the pictures in the book, it made reading more interesting.  Oscar.

I couldn't stop reading Bo, Zero to Hero and had to keep turning the pages to find out what happens in the end.

Beautiful words and amazing illustrations.  Lots of action, suspense, humour and a great tale of friendship.  Tom Yr 5

This was a fantastic story that told a tale of a cute little caterpillar called Bo who had to overcome a bullying mosquito...the moral of the story was to teach us to always carry on and not let people put you down.  You should always believe in yourself.   James G. Yr 6

I loved how you developed the character of the Protagonist (Bo) and the fact he got happier throughout the book.  I also thought that the word play with 'Ivor Scalpel' and the whole concept of taxidermy was great.  The book itself was an amazing read, with a wide range of unforgettable charters, and a solace ending.  Grace Yr. 6

I loved the word play, as in : "Ivor Scalpel. Also I really liked the way you mixed poetry with story writing into one.  Pascal

The illustrator's pictures are very detailed and almost 3D. I like the alliteration and the rhyme of the story. I liked that it was from an insect's point of view. My favourite part was where Bo was counting one second, two second, three second, four. Five second, six second, seven seconds more!  George P Yr 6

My favourite characters were Pip and Tuff, because they were funny. I liked how the story is like what you would experience in life (for example taking a leap of faith). The best line was...'friend or foe, Bo had to know'.  Rebecca. Yr 6

I really enjoyed the book because it was full of surprises!  When you described how Bo had no family it was very descriptive... it reminded me of my nannie... so maybe you could put emotional in the blurb.  Sebastian

I was really fascinated by the moral of Bo, Zero to Hero.  It explains how you should never stop trying and always be brave and do the things you like.  I also really enjoyed the rhyming of the book as it makes it more fun for younger kids. Lexi  Yr5
